Here are some of our past custom-made products.

Past custom-made products by EDOGAWA GOSEI: The customer had been using a Category IV Class I petroleum marking ink for steel pipes but wanted a Category IV Class II petroleum marking ink with the same properties for their newly built plant, as Class II petroleum is subject to fewer regulations under Japan’s fire code.

Product developed by EDOGAWA GOSEI: We developed a quick-drying, weather resistant marking ink completely free of Category IV Class I solvent. The product provides excellent adhesion to zinc surfaces.

Customer response: The customer was happy that the new ink relieved them of some of the fire code requirements and helped solve the stocking and handling problems that previously existed.

Past custom-made products by EDOGAWA GOSEI: The customer desired a durable, beautiful coating film that protects against abrasion under harsh conditions.

Product developed by EDOGAWA GOSEI: For a base coat, we recommended “Epolite”, a two-component epoxy resin paint that offers outstanding oil repellency, and for a top coat, “NEXUS,” a two-component acrylic urethane resin paint which offers good weather resistance and workability and achieves a superior glossy finish.

Customer response: The customer was highly satisfied with the paints, reporting a considerable decrease in market complaints and enhanced workability that ensured quality paint job.

Past custom-made products by EDOGAWA GOSEI: To reduce static damage to semiconductor devices, the customer wanted a conductive and anti-static coating that does not alter the physical appearance and color of the substrate.

Product developed by EDOGAWA GOSEI: We recommended “Ele-Earth EAM,” the electrically conducting paint containing conductive agent characterized by high whiteness and which brings out the substrate’s colors vividly. Through precise modification of the formula, we were able to achieve the exact coloring the customer had requested.

Customer response: The customer was pleased the coating added an anti-static property without changing the physical design of the device.

Past custom-made products by EDOGAWA GOSEI: The customer wanted a coating material to affix guides to the fishing rod body, and asked us to develop a custom-made, water-resistant product that adheres firmly to highly flexible rods that bend easily.

Product developed by EDOGAWA GOSEI: The paint required water resistance and the flexibility to accommodate the huge bending of the rod, as well as the suitableness for thick coating, a property indispensable to achieve the first two requirements. We developed a clear paint exclusive for rod guides meeting these requirements.

Customer response: The customer succeeded in eliminating market complaints. They were happy that the transparent, colorless coating does not interfere with the rod’s design and provides superb workability and high productivity.

Past custom-made products by EDOGAWA GOSEI: The customer asked us to develop a general purpose coating with excellent film properties that can be used in different stages of a coating process and meet various demands of their customers.

Product developed by EDOGAWA GOSEI: We developed a product that can be applied in multiple layers to achieve film thickness. The coating also provides excellent adhesion to various types of materials, has a wide range of baking temperature, and accepts top coat finishes.

Customer response: The customer reported that our product provides adhesion and quality finish under difficult conditions. Because it is applicable for a wide range of uses under various conditions, the product helped the customer identify the optimum condition that ensured good workability and stable quality, for which the customer was very satisfied.

Past custom-made products by EDOGAWA GOSEI: The customer wanted to add a noise protection property to the interior and a decorative coating for the exterior of their resin molding component.

Product developed by EDOGAWA GOSEI: For the interior, we developed a custom-made electromagnetic shield coating using conductive materials and binders best suited to achieve high conductivity and adhesion to special plastics. For pattern coating on the exterior, we suggested the customer use the two-component urethane coating Eco Bright. While offering excellent film properties, Eco Bright is an environmentally sound product in compliance with the Ordinance on Prevention of Hazards due to Specified Chemical Substances.

Customer response: The customer was pleased that the internal noise shielding and the aesthetically appealing exterior coating added additional value to the device.
